Mother Of God Hospital

Mother of God Hospital was established in January 2008 by Dr. Fulgence Rubayiza, with the aim of providing affordable and quality healthcare service to the Ashaiman community. The hospital started when members of the Lebanon – Ashaiman community started to visit the Medical Director (Dr. Rubayiza) and his wife (Mrs Theodette Rubayiza) for free gynaecology consultation. Within a short space of time, the information spread to the community hence more and more people sought their services. These events cumulated into the birth of Mother of God Clinic.

The vision and mission of Mother of God was founded on Christian values with the aim of creating a healthcare facility with compassion. As a result, the facility’s environment has been fashioned to accommodate people of all socio-economic background (both rich and poor), in order that all may feel comfortable and adequately cared for.

By virtue of the excellent customer service, quality healthcare provision and the drive to remain affordable, the clinic grew astronomically over the years into one of the largest private hospitals in Ashaiman. Mother of God Hospital now has about 10 main wards with other supporting units, and bed capacity of about 120. The hospital continues to provide both general and specialist care to clients, as well as, organizes outreaches and health education programs to surrounding communities
